Regardless of the plan you have, if you want to use our Sidecar Health VISA benefit card to pay for a service that exceeds the swipe limit, you can request the transaction be pre-approved. To request such pre-approval, submit a picture of the pre-bill with the required information to your account which will allow us to determine your Benefit Amount for the services shown on the pre-bill. Please allow approximately 7-10 business days for determination.
When you’re ready to pay for your visit, use our Sidecar Health VISA benefit card to pay the provider up to the pre-approved Benefit Amount. You can pay any difference between the pre-approved Benefit Amount and the provider’s charge using any method you and the provider agree to. Then, take a photo of the final, itemized medical invoice you receive from the provider and submit it to your account to receive your actual Benefit Amount.
Confirmation for a swipe amount above the standard swipe limit does not guarantee either payment of benefits or the Benefit Amounts.
